Yet again Jan Magnussen has succeded into bringing his Camaro GT.R into the lead in the 24 hour race at Daytona, where he at 10½ hours into the race was handed over the car for another double stint.

When Jan entered the car he was about 25 seconds after the leading TRG/Flying Lizard Porsche #67, but a series of fast and constant laptimes saw him reeling in the leading GT car and with a well executed manouvre into the hairpin he took over the lead. Though a few laps later it was time for a pitstop yet again and with a need for a change of brakes he lost the lead again and was now a minute behind the TRG/Flying Lizard Porsche #67.

"The first stint was really good, but I wasn’t happy about the car with new brakes that had to be bedded in before they will be good. You have to press the brakepedal really hard, and I can feel that in my foot and back. The gearshift is still a little odd, but as it hasn’t changed itself since my last stint I feel good about that", Jan Magnussen stated after his stint.

At the time of writing, with 11 hours left of the race the leading Porsche has had a lengthy pitstop and the Camaro GT.R of Magnussen is in the lead driven by Robin Liddell.
